Smoked fish, 1 onion, fresh peppers

The recipe – step by step

1. Boil water with a pinch of salt; rain in kokonte flour while stirring firmly.
2. Beat out lumps; cover and steam on low 10 minutes.
3. Whisk groundnut paste with warm water separately.
4. Simmer groundnut with ginger, onion, palm oil and cubes 20 minutes.
5. Add flaked smoked fish to the soup.
6. Plate kokonto balls drowned in groundnut soup.
