Chicken or smoked fish, ginger, 1 onion, fresh peppers

The recipe – step by step

1. Whisk groundnut paste with warm water until pourable.
2. Boil seasoned chicken with onion and ginger 20 minutes.
3. Stir the groundnut liquid into the pot slowly to prevent splitting.
4. Simmer 20 minutes – watch it, groundnut loves to catch the bottom.
5. Season with tomato paste, palm oil drizzle and cubes.
6. Serve with kokonte prepared according to pack instructions.
