We use trusted, specialist food courier services to ensure rapid, temperature-controlled transit for all perishable items. All prices are calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your order.

Important UK Notes:
- Order Cut-off: Orders placed before 12 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Thursday, are typically dispatched the same day.
- Weekend Delivery: We do not dispatch perishable items on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to avoid them sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. Orders placed after 12 PM on Thursday will be dispatched on the following Monday.
- Perishable Packaging: All fresh/chilled items are packed in insulated boxes with non-toxic frozen gel packs to keep them below the safe temperature threshold for up to 48 hours.
🌍 Global Shipping Tiers
We are delighted to share Afara with the world, but due to strict international customs regulations, Global Shipping is restricted to Non-Perishable Goods only. This typically includes items like sealed snacks, packaged dry goods, condiments, and certain boxed items.
All international shipments require a Customs Declaration Form (CN22/CN23).

Important Global Notes:
- Prohibited Items: Due to customs laws and courier restrictions, we cannot ship fresh meat, dairy, fish, or any goods with a shelf life of less than six months internationally.
- Customs, Duties & Taxes: All international shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are not included in your Afara shipping cost. We advise checking your local customs office for potential charges.
- Customs Delays: Customs processing times are unpredictable and can occasionally delay delivery. This is beyond our control.
- Labelling: All food items are shipped unopened in their original retail packaging with all ingredient and allergen information clearly listed to aid customs clearance.
📝 General Information
Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with your unique tracking number and a link to the courier’s website to monitor its journey.
Missed Delivery
If you are not available to receive your parcel, our couriers will attempt to leave the package in a designated safe place or with a neighbour. For perishable items, prompt delivery and refrigeration are essential. Afara cannot be held responsible for spoilage if a delivery attempt is missed and not rescheduled promptly by the recipient.
Packaging
We are committed to sustainability. Our packaging, including the insulated liners and gel packs, is chosen to be as recyclable and eco-friendly as possible while ensuring the safety and freshness of your food.
